Reflect – Collected Columns

In the 1990s, John North began writing columns for the monthly Baptist magazine. Drawing on his years of experience as a minister in New Zealand and Switzerland, his academic studies, his time as a retreat leader and spiritual director, and his own reflections, the columns generated a warm response and became a regular feature in the newspaper.

Even today, after retiring from regular writing, John still meets people who ask, “Are you the chap who wrote the columns in The Baptist?” This collection brings together John’s Columns inspired by such diverse topics as Gothic architecture, politics and the power of nature.
